Radar Single Release Dates

Sony BMG Switzerland announced that “Radar” will officially be released as a single on August 10 in both Switzerland and France. It will launch on July 27 in the UK and Belgium.

Apparently, the single will not be released in Sweden, because it was already released during the Blackout era when “Radar” was rumored to be the fourth single off that album

Back in LA

Brit is back in LA for a few weeks after her first stint of the European leg of her Circus Tour. She is due to hed to Paris at the beginning of July for shows all over the continent.

Britney: I'm Truly Happy!

Britney Spears has addressed rumors she was pressured into launching her current world tour, insisting she proposed the idea because she was sick of people thinking she was “finished.”

Spears has endured a tumultuous 12 months which saw her lose custody of her two sons, suffer a break down and spend time in hospital under a mental health order.

But the pop superstar appeared to bounce back with the launch of her Circus shows earlier this year.

But Internet gossips have speculated that Spears is not ready for such a massive operation, with many suggesting her father, Jamie, and manager Larry Rudolph pushed her back out on the road.

But Spears insists she was the driving force behind her Circus tour, because she wanted to silence the critics who thought her career ended with her meltdown.

She tells Hello!, “A lot of people thought I wouldn’t make it. People thought I was finished, didn’t they?

“I guess for a while last year it looked that way. Nothing I can do about the past. But I’m hoping to prove them wrong now. And I have really put everything I have into this new show.”

And the performer admits going back on the road has been a therapeutic experience for her.

She adds, “I’m not sad any more. I was just so sad for such a long time, but not anymore. And you know what? That feels really, really good. I’m happy. Truly. I feel like the girl who has it all. I have my family, my boys, my friends, my fans, this show.”

Rumour: Circus Tour filmed professionally

According to a fan who attended the Circus tour on June 13 at the O2 Arena in London, the show was filmed professionally on that night.

He said that he had heard the security talking about it. This means that the concert would be on a DVD or would be broadcast on TV.

It’s just a rumor, y’all ~

Circus album repackaged

Apparently according to Britney fans around the world, the album has been repackaged in places like France and the Philippines. No new songs or anything. Random!

Britney in Manchester

So Britney performed her last UK performance last night in Manchester. Went fantastically apparently; still no sign of any setlist changes though :(

She did apparently say "What's up London" in Do Somethin' but this is probably due to it being on the backing track as opposed to a genuine mistake, as she mentioned Manchester numerous other times.

Britney protected from Idol stalker

Britney Spears has been given protection against a former American Idol contestant who was caught peering through the windows of her home.

The 'Womanizer' star was granted a temporary restraining order yesterday, after Miranda Tozier Robbins was found sneaking around her California mansion in April.

Robbins, who appeared on the fifth season of Idol, has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from Spears and her home. She faces an arraignment next week on misdemeanour charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct.

The 26-year-old told the court that she would be representing herself in proceedings but the judge advised her to wait until her next hearing before making a plea.

He added that she would have to wait a week to learn whether the footage that she had shot at Spears's Casablancas estate would be returned to her. Spears, who is currently in London, will not be appearing in court at any stage.

Robbins previously suggested that her actions had been a "joke" and inspired by a "docummentary-type" film that she was making about the singer.

Circus RE-RELEASE with NEW SONGS!

WOWOWOW! This would be incredible!

There is good possibility that Britney Spears is re-releasing "Circus". Inside sources claim that this will happen after Britney has recorded few new tracks to it and will be releasing a brand new track as a single closer to the Australian gigs at the end of the year.

Sources also claim that this has been in the cards for awhile, but now that the tour will be on to november, this can be materialized finally. More details will be released soon.

A Swedish producer-songwriter Alexander Kronlund (co-writer of Lucky, and If U Seek Amy) was in Finland working with a Finnish producer Dj Mobster on a track that may end up to Britney. They have 3 days to create a song and send it to Britney’s people to see if she likes it. The song starts with words "If You See Me.." and it's described as a catchy hit that stays in your head for hours. Britney is said to hit the studio in a break from the tour, after European gigs.

Grammy Nomination for Brit?

Examiner.com: Submissions for the 2010 Grammy Awards won’t take place until September of 2009, but we are told that Jive Records will push for the final nail in Britney’s comeback: several Grammy nominations. Her album, Circus, was released in November of 2008 and has been one of the biggest selling albums of the past year. All her singles, “Womanizer,” “Circus,” and “If U Seek Amy,” have been major hits as well.

Some may laugh at the prospect of Britney Spears winning several Grammies. However, Grammy voters not only love comebacks, but have also been more keen to dance music lately. The only categories that Britney doesn’t have a chance in are Best Female Pop Vocal Performance (for obvious reasons) and Song of the Year. She is definitely ripe for an Album of the Year nomination as well as one for Record of the Year. She’s also ripe for Best Pop Album.

One year ago, everybody was saying that Britney Spears was over with. Now, Britney is filling up arenas at top ticket prices during one of the worst recessions ever. One has to not only credit Ms. Spears for curbing her destructive behavior, but her management, father, and Jive Records deserve thumbs up as well.

Spears 'to hire entire resort in Thailand'

Britney Spears is reportedly planning to hire an entire resort in Thailand in order to relax following the European leg of her world tour.

According to The Sun, the 'Womanizer' star has agreed to pay around £180,000 to exclusively rent the Sila Evason hotel in Koh Samui for a week.

It is thought that she will treat her backing dancers and most important staff to an all-expenses paid vacation to celebrate the success of her 'Circus' show in Europe.

Spears's ex-husband Kevin Federline, who has been accompanying their two sons during her recent jaunt in London, has also been invited with his girlfriend Victoria Prince.

The Circus heads North!

Despite numerous rumours of a new song, and statements from dancers and Britney herself that a new number was being rehearsed in London, no new songs were added to the final performance at the O2 Arena in London last night.

The Circus moves to Manchester for one night before heading to Ireland. London loved you Britney!

Circus Tour: Final London Performance

Tonight, Britney performs her final show of The Circus Starring: Britney Spears at the O2 Arena in London before heading for a one-off performance up north in Manchester.

Speculation is rife that there are set to be some changes, sourcing from hints from the Princess of Pop herself that there is to be a new song to outrageous rumours Michael Jackson is set to appear!

Brit now gets 50-50 custody

TMZ.com: We've learned Britney Spears and K-Fed have reached a new agreement on custody -- and now Brit has the kids more than 50% of the time -- at least during her concert tour.

Lawyers for Brit and Kevin Federline have filed docs with the family law Commissioner Scott Gordon, stating they have reached a new temporary custody arrangement. During June, July and August, Britney will have physical custody of Jayden James and Sean Preston more than 50% of the time. The lawyers submitted a calendar outlining who gets the kids on which day.

Contrary to some reports, we know that before the change Britney had the kids 50% of the time. The 50/50 split will go back into effect once Britney's tour is over.
