Britney v Glee

According to website E! Online Australian,the cast of Glee will perform 'Stronger', plus 'Oops ... I Did It Again' and 'Piece of Me' in the special Britney-themed episode next series.

Lea Michele said her character, Rachel Berry, will sing a classic Britney tribute, and will also recreates one of her videos, but said she prefers not to tell what it will be.

"I read the script last night and is hilarious. Will be made several different numbers and many videos will be created."

Meanwhile, Glee actress Cohen-Chang told Extra TV in a recent interview confirmed Britney will NOT appear in the episode, despite previous speculation stirred by Glee creator Ryan Murphy:

According to OK! magazine, Glee is set not just to feature some Britney songs, but to host the Lady herself! Not only that, but negotiations are under way to make the character reccuring...

Glee Britney episode is one step closer!

After a poll on the Glee website last week asking fans who else they would like to see Glee pay tribute to Britney won by a landslide!

This week, they're asking fans what song they want to be covered. You can vote at breatheheavy.com. However, since you can only pick one song, this suggests its unlikely to be a whole episode tribute. Shame.

New Britney-Candie's Photoshoot

The Rumour-mill is saying that Britney will appear on Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight in the US tomorrow with exclusive behind the scenes footage of her new Candies photoshoot.

The campaign slogan is "Through The Lens" and features photos from numerous top photographers, including Annie Liebovitz.  Click on the photos to see them larger

Spears bans sons from K-Fed's new show

Britney Spears is set for legal action against her ex-husband Kevin Federline - to stop their children appearing on his new TV show.

Federline hopes to land a deal to document his day-to-day life with his two sons and his new girlfriend, Victoria Prince, for a new reality series.

But his pop star ex is refusing to give permission for Sean Preston, three, and two-year-old Jayden James to appear on the programme - and is considering launching a legal battle to limit filming.

Spears and Federline famously allowed TV cameras into their lives in 2005 for the MTV series Britney & Kevin: Chaotic.

Will Britney appear at the 2009 VMAs?

Once again, MTV continues to tease us regarding the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Like last year, we will receive a lot of rumors of Ms Spears’ possible appearance as the ceremony approaches. This would probably be the first rumor. MTV used a picture of Ms Spears’s 2001 famous VMA performance for “I’m A Slave 4 U” on a Facebook update that says: “Check out the official VMA’s site to stay current with more big announcements regarding performers, nominees, and presenters!”. The network also posted a message on its Twitter, saying:

“Should Britney perform at this year’s VMAs? Yes or No!”

BRITannica then went on to post an article about Brit and the VMAs over at Britney.com, accompanied by the VMA’s advertisement with Britney’s photo:

Remember last year when Britney took home THREE Moonmen at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards? Here’s hopin’ it happens again at this year’s 26th annual VMAs when it airs live from New York City on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 9pm ET. Russell Brand will be hosting again this year, though we won’t know who the presenters and nominees are for a few more weeks. All I gotta say is… there better be LOTS of Britney in the nominations! Britney on the tragic death of Jacko

I was personally so incredibly shocked beyond belief to hear about the tragic passing of the king of pop and superstar Michael Jackson last week.

Britney said of the death:

"I was so excited to see his show in London. We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I'm devastated he's gone!"
