SCORCHING "You Oughtta Know" Reviews!

Britney Spears has once again shocked the world but this time it’s something that could help her career. Performing last night in Greensboro, NC Spears sang live (yes I did say “sang live”). The singer who has lip synched her way through the entire Circus tour belted out a very impressive version of Alanis Morissette’s You Oughta Know.Spears appeared very confident in the performance and the crowd showed its approval afterwards with thunderous applause. This performance was a surprise to those in attendance and one that I think most Britney fans hope she will continue with. Spears upped the ante last night and it will be interesting to see if this was a one-time set change or a permanent addition to the tour.” – Examiner -

With the exception of a few rare vocals on drippy ballad Everytime, the US singer has been miming her way through her worldwide Circus tour. However it appears she’s now decided to up the ante, trying something a little different for gig-goers in Greensboro, NC. Britters looked confident as she belted out a cover of ALANIS MORISSETTE’S You Oughta Know. And it appears fans were impressed as they roared in approval afterwards”. – TheSun -

At her concert in Greensboro, NC, on Saturday night, Brit Brit debuted a new song on her Circus tour set list. She did a cover of Alanis Morissette’s You Oughta Know. And she actually sang live!!!!!!!!It was the first time she sang any song live during this whole tour!!!!!! Yes. Yes. Yes. Slowly but surely our beloved Brit Brit is rebuilding her confidence. And, hopefully, next tour there will be a lot more singing!” PerezHilton -

Britney Spears has sung live for the first time on her ‘Circus’ tour. The US star debuted a cover version of Alanis Morissette’s ‘You Outta Know’ at a concert in North Carolina, US, last night (05.09.09) – the first time she has sung a song live on the worldwide tour since it began in March.A concertgoer revealed: “We were really surprised! Nobody knew she going to sing that song. When I saw her rise up with a microphone I was thinking, ‘what is she doing?’ I had to ask the person in front of me what song she was singing!” In a video posted of Britney performing the song, she sounds confident and strong as a singer again and after she finishes, the shocked crowd give out huge cheers. Posting a text response to the video, one fan wrote: “This song is soooo good and seems so nice in Britney! “Congrats Britney, you should sing more live. Even if it’s not perfect it would be more exciting and emotional for you, and for the fans. “Previously on the tour, Britney has mimed while concentrating on the complicated dance routines involved in the show.” - ContactMusic -

Last night at the Greensboro, NC stop of her Circus tour, Britney Spears covered Alanis Morissette’s 1990s anthem “You Oughta Know,” and from this admittedly low-quality video (and various reports on the Internet), it seems she actually sang live, instead of singing to tape. Again, the quality here isn’t great, but it looks like she rocked it. What better way to silence the critics than to step up to the mic, say to hell with it all, and spew some of that bile. Hot, confident Britney, live vocals, a dash of rebellion…hey Brit, how about breaking off for a few surprise shows at intimate clubs? I’d be down for that.” – Entertainer Weekly -

New song demo - "Scorpio Girl"

X-britney reports (translated from Portuguese):

Producer Tsour Lee Adato, has given us a little surprise! As everyone knows, Britney is in the process of recording for a future project, which we still have no concrete information about, and has been up in the Studio with Max Martin during her time in Sweden. Tsour, has sent us an exclusive demo, the voice is not Britney as it is a demo for her to re-record. The song is called Scorpio Girl and was produced by him and Hezi Shaked.

Lyrics and snippet below

I can be quite discreet if you need that kinda hush
I wont tell anybody about our secret crush
Baby give me it I could use the rush
But when shes getting angry
You better step aside
And when shes feeling hungry
You keep her satisfied
If its understood You can come around

Ill let you take the lead-role
Keep control babe you can have it
Little miss wonderful
The little girl wont misbehave it

CHORUS

Just as you think you own me
Im gonna say no-oh
And when youll wanna keep me
I will get up and go
Dont believe in your love
I aint feeling your words
And if its a mans world
Im a scorpio girl

Unusual You added to setlist?

According to a source close to the Circus tour team, “Unusual You” could be added to the setlist of the upcoming second leg of tour in North America.

Apparently, “Kill The Lights” would’ve made the cut but Ms Spears reportedly did not like the choreography.

All this remain in the rumor category. Stay tuned.

Mannequin video

The new song addition to The Circus Starring: Britney Spears is Mannequin, and is performed right after Get Naked (I Got a Plan). There's a new video to go with it, which looks amazing, the remix and entrance are incredible, but the rest seems a bit...Meh. It's by no means bad, just not as good as the rest of the tour really.

Anyways, check out for yourself!

MANNEQUIN!

from Britney's Facebook: "Mannequin's going into the show tonight for the first time. I’m really excited for everyone to see it! - Britney"

Can't wait for videos!

Hopefully, it'll be something like this...

STILL no new song!

STILL no new song additions in Britney's first show in Paris tonight.

However...

According to Britney's dancers (a fan got to speak with them in the VIP lounge before the show), the new number will be added to the show starting this upcoming Monday.

Wouldn't put money on it though!

Circus RE-RELEASE with NEW SONGS!

WOWOWOW! This would be incredible!

There is good possibility that Britney Spears is re-releasing "Circus". Inside sources claim that this will happen after Britney has recorded few new tracks to it and will be releasing a brand new track as a single closer to the Australian gigs at the end of the year.

Sources also claim that this has been in the cards for awhile, but now that the tour will be on to november, this can be materialized finally. More details will be released soon.

A Swedish producer-songwriter Alexander Kronlund (co-writer of Lucky, and If U Seek Amy) was in Finland working with a Finnish producer Dj Mobster on a track that may end up to Britney. They have 3 days to create a song and send it to Britney’s people to see if she likes it. The song starts with words "If You See Me.." and it's described as a catchy hit that stays in your head for hours. Britney is said to hit the studio in a break from the tour, after European gigs.

Despite numerous rumours of a new song, and statements from dancers and Britney herself that a new number was being rehearsed in London, no new songs were added to the final performance at the O2 Arena in London last night.

The Circus moves to Manchester for one night before heading to Ireland. London loved you Britney!
